K. G. (6.4 lbs) and N. R. (6.11 lbs) were born on Friday, May 18th at 12:49pm and 12:51pm respectively. They are beautiful and healthy and perfect.
K is our little thinker. She came out of the womb wide eyed and taking in her new world. The nurses had to work hard to get her to cry. Whenever she looks at you it seems like she's looking deep into your soul. We've noticed her getting stronger and stronger by the day. She likes to try and hold her head up on her own and she can push herself up into an almost standing position when her feet are braced against your legs.
I think N will be more of the cuddly one. She was looking to nurse soon after delivery. The nurse put her to my chest and right as I was in the middle of saying "I'm not sure how to do this", she *ploop*, latched on all by herself. Of course in a complete 180, she now seems to be becoming a lazier and lazier eater. N can get quite the furrowed little brow and what some of us reading this can refer to as "V Lines".
We were all in the hospital for 4 nights while I was recovering. Recovery is going pretty well and I've been out and about since coming home on Tuesday. The girls had their first pediatricians appointment on Friday and they are gaining weight and doing great! N still has a little bit of jaundice, but the doctor seems to think that will clear up on its own in a few days.
Both babies are really content happy babies. And we all got our second great night's sleep last night so everyone is happy. :-)
Enjoy these pictures....there will be much more to follow.
